The Davidic Covenant and Messianic Hope: Exploring Divine Faithfulness in 2 Samuel 7:12-16 and Psalm 89:30-37

Artikel ini mengkaji eksplorasi teologis dan eksegetis mengenai Perjanjian Daud sebagaimana dipaparkan dalam 2 Samuel 7:12-16 dan Mazmur 89:30-37. Perjanjian Daud menandai momen penting dalam Alkitab Ibrani, di mana Allah menjanjikan kerajaan kekal melalui garis keturunan Daud. Studi ini menyoroti bagaimana perjanjian ini mengubah konsep kerajaan di Israel dari institusi temporal menjadi peran ilahi dengan implikasi eskatologis. Dengan menganalisis istilah Ibrani kunci seperti kisse (takhta) dan zera (keturunan), tulisan ini memeriksa sifat kekal dari janji Allah dan harapan mesianik yang berakar pada garis keturunan Daud. Sifat tanpa syarat dari perjanjian ini mengungkapkan kasih setia (chesed) Allah dan kedaulatan-Nya yang melampaui kegagalan manusia. Selain itu, hubungan antara kasih karunia ilahi dan tanggung jawab manusia dikaji, memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang interaksi antara inisiatif ilahi dan kewajiban moral keturunan Daud. Studi ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang kesetiaan ilahi dalam Alkitab Ibrani, membentuk ekspektasi teologis Israel akan kedatangan seorang mesias yang akan menegakkan kerajaan kebenaran dan keadilan.References
